Is It Safe to Keep Driving With a Slow Oil Leak?

You notice a few drops of oil on the driveway, but your car still drives normally. It may seem harmless, but even a slow oil leak can result in serious engine damage if left unchecked. When your car still runs smoothly, it is easy to assume a small oil leak is not a big concern.  Minor leaks will eventually cause major engine problems. Something as minor as a leak can grow to become a much larger problem. With oil leaks, the engine loses lubrication and protection over time, leading to increased wear on critical internal parts. There is also an increased risk of costly engine repairs. Staying on schedule with a routine oil and filter change and fixing leaks as soon as they appear are among the best ways to protect both your engine and your budget.
